i've been meaning to test out this new program called Open Song. it's supposedly far superior to powerpoint. it also does anouncements and finds scripture. oh, and instead of continuously typing in the same songs over and over and over, it collects them in a database, where you can pick from a list that you've compiled over a length of time, so in case our cereal-eating worship leader decides to riff off on a song that wasn't planned, (and assuming that it is in our database), we can pull it up in about 2 seconds! i think my favorite feature about the program is that it is open source, which means we don't have to pay a dime! it's a beautiful thing.

I didn't think to ask if Irene liked it or not. You can probably email her to find out. Nate...thanks for the new software.
just seeing a little bit in action before hand, i thought it was really good...
I finally talked to Irene about the software. She said that it's ok, but there is a long lag between pressing the mouse button and the slide actually advancing. She got used to it after a while, but she did have to anticipate the end of the verse or chorus. Is that lag something you can change?
